University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy

The University of Hawaiʻi Institute for Astronomy (IfA) is a major university astronomy and space-science research institute. It conducts observational and theoretical astronomy, develops and operates astronomical instrumentation and observatory programs across Hawaiʻi, trains scientists, and advances research and public engagement through its Mānoa, Hilo, Maui, and telescope-community activities.
