The Institute of Space Systems (IRS) at the University of Stuttgart is one of Europe’s major university space institutes. Its research and teaching span space transportation, satellite technology, aerothermodynamics, planetary and dust astronomy, human spaceflight, re-entry systems, and space applications, with extensive spacecraft and instrument development.
