Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Aeronáutico y del Espacio

The Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Aeronáutico y del Espacio is a private-law association of aeronautical, space, and commercial-aviation law specialists from across Ibero-America. Founded at the University of Salamanca in 1964 and now based at Madrid's aerospace-engineering school, it advances legal research, education, publishing, harmonization, and cooperation with governments, universities, industry, and international bodies. Its work includes the Navigare journal, Ibero-American conferences, professional postgraduate education, and specialist air- and space-law groups. The Institute holds United Nations consultative status and participates as a permanent observer in COPUOS.
