International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA)

The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA) is a nonprofit federation of autonomous national general-aviation associations. Founded in 1962, it represents aircraft owners and pilots across nearly 100 national member bodies, promotes safe and accessible general aviation, and facilitates international flight by private and business aircraft. IAOPA participates as the general-aviation observer at ICAO and works with international and regional authorities on airspace access, airports, regulation, safety, environmental policy, customs and border procedures, pilot licensing, and the practical utility of general aviation.
