International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading

International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) is a Delaware nonprofit nonstock 501(c)(6) aviation organization founded in 1983. It serves more than 6,000 professionals involved in operating, manufacturing, maintaining, selling, purchasing, financing, leasing, appraising, insuring, and otherwise supporting commercial aircraft. ISTAT's organization-level mission provides global aviation networking and education, industry forums, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, aviation-market information, a professional aircraft-appraiser program, and standards for aircraft appraisal practices. Current 2026 programs and ISTAT Online coverage address fleet planning, aircraft and engine markets, financing, freighter operations, sustainability, supply chains, and commercial-aviation leadership. ISTAT is distinct from the separately governed ISTAT Foundation, which funds scholarships, internships, grants, and humanitarian programs.
