The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is a nongovernmental scientific society advancing photogrammetry, satellite and airborne remote sensing, Earth observation, computer vision, and spatial information science. Founded in Vienna in 1910 and headquartered in Hannover, it coordinates international research through technical commissions and working groups, world congresses and symposia, peer-reviewed journals, archives, education, standards cooperation, and national and regional member societies. Its work connects imagery-derived science and engineering with mapping, environmental monitoring, geodesy, surveying, heritage, manufacturing, and other applications.
