NASA’s Langley Research Center (LaRC) is the nation’s first civilian aeronautics laboratory and NASA’s original field center. Its Aeronautics Research Directorate advances aviation through faster, more efficient vehicles and traffic-management systems, while its Space Technology and Exploration Directorate advances science, space technology, and exploration; Langley also leads Earth-atmosphere and science research.
