National Aeronautic Association

The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the country's national aviation organization, founded in 1905 and incorporated under its present name in 1922. As the United States National Airsport Control for the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, NAA validates national and international aviation and space records, administers the Collier Trophy and other major awards, coordinates air-sport organizations, and advances aerospace education, innovation, and public understanding. Its current programs span record claims and certification, FAI sporting licenses, air-sport governance, awards, membership, and active 2026 recognition and industry activity.
