National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC)

The National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) is a UAE University-based national research centre established in November 2016 to serve the UAE national space vision. Jointly established by UAE University, the UAE Space Agency, and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, NSSTC develops satellites and ground-segment systems and conducts research in Earth and planetary science, space communications and GNSS, radio astronomy, in-space propulsion, higher education and outreach. Its ground segment at UAEU in Al Ain uses S/X-band dishes, UHF communication and auto-tracking for CubeSat communication, data acquisition, real-time monitoring and mission control; the center also describes a radio-array facility for space-technology research. NSSTC publishes collaboration access for external parties, small businesses and universities, but does not publish a routine public visitor route for the center; contact NSSTC before travel and do not assume walk-in access to campus operations and research facilities.
