New Zealand Association of Women in Aviation (NZAWA)

The New Zealand Association of Women in Aviation (NZAWA) is a national incorporated society that connects and supports women across professional and recreational aviation. Founded in 1959 as the New Zealand Airwomen's Association and renamed in 1998, it serves pilots, air traffic controllers, engineers, balloonists, parachutists, aviation medical professionals, military personnel, students, and other women interested in flight. NZAWA builds knowledge and participation through mentoring, scholarships, newsletters, annual rallies, flying competitions, technical and educational programs, and a nationwide peer network.
