Secure World Foundation

Secure World Foundation (SWF) is a private nonprofit operating foundation established in 2002 to promote the secure, sustainable, and peaceful use of outer space for the benefit of Earth. It conducts research and convenes government, industry, international organisations, academia, and civil society on orbital safety, space traffic coordination, governance, transparency, and responsible behaviour. Its public resources include the Handbook for New Actors in Space, which introduces space governance, law, and responsible operations; the Global Counterspace Capabilities reports; and a COPUOS briefing book. These publications support practical understanding of space security and sustainability alongside the foundation's policy dialogue.
