Sindicato Nacional dos Trabalhadores na Proteção ao Voo (SNTPV)

The Sindicato Nacional dos Trabalhadores na Proteção ao Voo (SNTPV) is Brazil's national nonprofit professional union for civil workers who provide air-navigation and flight-protection services. Founded in 1976 as the Associação dos Controladores de Tráfego Aéreo Civis do Brasil and reorganized as a union in 1989, it represents air traffic controllers and related operational specialists across Brazil. SNTPV works on aviation safety, working conditions, staffing, training, health, technology and automation, professional standards, and collective agreements for the country's air-navigation workforce. It maintains regional delegates throughout Brazil and a national headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
