South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO)

The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) is a national facility of South Africa’s National Research Foundation responsible for strategic investment in radio astronomy. It operates and supports MeerKAT, Hartebeesthoek, and related radio-astronomy infrastructure, leads South Africa’s involvement in the international Square Kilometre Array, and develops astronomy, geodesy, engineering, data, and skills capabilities for the global scientific community.
