Space Mission Planning Advisory Group (SMPAG)

The Space Mission Planning Advisory Group (SMPAG) is a group of space-faring nations established through United Nations-endorsed recommendations to prepare an international response to a near-Earth-object impact threat. SMPAG exchanges information, develops options for collaborative research and mission opportunities, and coordinates planetary-defense response planning; the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs serves as its permanent Secretariat.
