The Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI) is Russia’s principal organization for space research and exploration in fundamental science. It develops and operates scientific instruments for spacecraft, studies the Solar System and near-Earth space, and leads space-science programs spanning planetary, heliophysical, astrophysical, and Earth-observation research.
