Space Research Organisation Netherlands

Space Research Organisation Netherlands (SRON) is the Dutch expertise institute for space research and part of NWO-I, the Institutes Organisation of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research. With a track record since 1961, SRON develops scientific research, detector technologies, space instruments, and mission infrastructure for astrophysics and Earth observation. Its active and developing mission portfolio includes Chandra, Euclid, GUSTO, PACE, Sentinel-5 and Sentinel-5P, XRISM, ALMA, ARIEL, CO2M, EnVision, LISA, NewAthena, PLATO, and other international missions. SRON operates research, laboratory, and cleanroom facilities in Leiden and Groningen and works with universities, research institutes, space agencies, and industry to bring Dutch expertise into space science and Earth-atmosphere research.
