The Society of Experimental Test Pilots

The Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) is an international professional organization for experimental test pilots and the wider flight-test community. Formed in California in 1955, it advances air safety and aeronautical development by promoting sound aircraft design and testing, enabling members to exchange technical knowledge and safety lessons, supporting professional development, and recognizing major contributions to flight test. SETP organizes international and regional symposia, publishes technical work, preserves flight-test history, provides scholarships and family assistance, and maintains a worldwide community spanning civil, military, and aerospace programs.
