World Space Week Association (WSWA) is an international nongovernmental nonprofit that coordinates World Space Week, the annual United Nations-declared celebration of space science and technology held from 4 to 10 October. Founded in 1982 after earlier Spaceweek organizing work, it supports national coordinators and event organizers, selects annual themes, maintains the global event calendar, develops educational and public-outreach resources, measures participation, and builds partnerships across agencies, industry, schools, museums, planetariums, and community groups. WSWA is a permanent observer at the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
