Arctic Observing Mission

The Arctic Observing Mission (AOM) is a Canadian-led international Earth-observation mission concept under early development. Its proposed two-satellite highly elliptical orbit system would provide persistent Arctic coverage for regional weather forecasts and alerts, greenhouse-gas and air-quality observations, and climate research. The concept remains subject to approval and funding.
