BepiColombo Program

ESA and JAXA’s BepiColombo is an active joint mission to Mercury comprising the European Mercury Planetary Orbiter and Japan’s Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter. Launched in 2018, the spacecraft has completed its long solar-electric cruise and is entering the Mercury-arrival phase in 2026 to study the planet’s magnetic field, magnetosphere, interior, surface, and exosphere.
