CryoSat Program

ESA's CryoSat mission is an active Earth Explorer dedicated to measuring polar sea-ice thickness and changes in the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. Launched on 8 April 2010, its SIRAL synthetic-aperture interferometric radar altimeter also supports precise observations of sea level, ocean surfaces, land, and inland water.
