EarthCARE Program
ESA's Earth Cloud Aerosol and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE) is an active joint ESA–JAXA Earth-observation mission launched on 29 May 2024. Four instruments measure clouds, aerosols, and radiation to improve understanding of Earth's climate system and atmospheric energy balance; JAXA provides the cloud-profiling radar.
