Electron Beam Dust Mitigation Technology

Electron Beam Dust Mitigation (EBDM) is an active dust-removal technology project under NASA Flight Opportunities. The source project is led by Space Dust Research & Technologies LLC and uses an electron beam to charge and repel lunar dust from spacesuits, optical lenses, solar panels, thermal blankets, and other exploration surfaces. The active 2025-2027 effort targets lunar and cislunar operations and a flight test toward higher technology readiness.
