Environmental Analysis of the Bounded Lunar Exosphere (ENABLE)

NASA TechPort describes ENABLE as a completed lunar-instrumentation project that developed a quadrupole mass spectrometer prototype for characterizing volatiles on and above the lunar surface. The instrument combines commercial mass-spectrometry hardware with Southwest Research Institute space-electronics heritage, and is intended to measure volatile composition across lunar-vacuum conditions for exploration, in-situ resource use, contamination monitoring, and planetary science.
