FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 is a Taiwan–US managed six-satellite space program for atmospheric radio-occultation observations, weather forecasting, climate research, and ionosphere monitoring. TASA identifies FORMOSAT-7 as a major Taiwan–US collaborative space program and is responsible for the six spacecraft, integration, and constellation operations; NOAA identifies COSMIC-2 as the US program name and partner. It follows FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC-1 and is distinct from individual spacecraft, launches, and the broader FORMOSAT naming series.
