GeoSCIA Program

GeoSCIA (Geostationary Scanning Imaging Absorption spectrometer) was an ESA Earth Explorer proposal for passive remote sensing of atmospheric composition from geostationary orbit. It would monitor regional and continental tropospheric pollution and trace-gas variability with imaging absorption spectroscopy, providing frequent observations relevant to air quality and global-change research.
