Herschel Space Observatory Program
ESA's Herschel Space Observatory was a far-infrared to submillimetre space observatory and the largest space telescope of its type, launched on 14 May 2009 with important NASA participation. Its science mission ended on 29 April 2013 when its liquid-helium coolant was exhausted.
