Hydroterra Program

ESA Earth Explorer 10 feasibility candidate, originally called G-Class and selected in September 2018, Hydroterra would use a synthetic aperture radar in geosynchronous orbit to provide a constant view of Africa and the Mediterranean and observe diurnal water-cycle processes for improved prediction of rainfall, water availability, flooding and landslides. ESA did not advance it to implementation but described continued risk-reduction work to mature the concept.
