NASA's Ionospheric Connection Explorer was an Earth-orbiting heliophysics mission that investigated how terrestrial weather and space weather interact in the ionosphere, using remote-sensing and in-situ instruments to study the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and near-Earth space. The mission launched in 2019, completed its prime and extended operations, and ended after contact with the spacecraft could not be restored.
