Investigation of Convective Updrafts
INCUS is a NASA Earth Venture Mission-3 investigation using three coordinated SmallSats to measure the vertical transport of air and water in tropical convective storms. The mission targets why storms, heavy precipitation, and clouds form where and when they do, with observations intended to improve severe-weather and climate-model predictions.
