ISAS Reusable Vehicle Testing programme

The ISAS Reusable Vehicle Testing effort began in 1998 to investigate reusable hydrogen-fueled rockets, vertical landing and aircraft-like turnaround. Flight campaigns at Noshiro in 1999, 2001 and 2003 explored operations, lightweight cryogenic tanks and propulsion. Later work investigated a turbopump-fed engine for the RVT#4 configuration.
