ISRU-RedWater (RW-BAA)

Completed NASA Game Changing Development project led by Honeybee Robotics that combined coiled tubing for drilling with RodWell melting and pumping into a single system for extracting water from deep near-subsurface ice deposits on Mars and potentially the Moon. The project matured the tube, injector, and bottom-hole assembly to TRL 5, integrated the system with a drum, demonstrated TRL 6 in a temperature- and vacuum-controlled relevant environment, and produced up to 2 liters per minute of extracted water.
