JUICE Program

ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) is an active Cosmic Vision mission launched on 14 April 2023 to characterise Jupiter’s ocean-bearing icy moons Ganymede, Europa, and Callisto as possible habitats and to study the wider Jupiter system. ESA leads the mission, with NASA contributing the UVS instrument and hardware and JAXA contributing hardware for several European instruments; arrival at Jupiter is planned for 2031.
