Juno Program

NASA’s Juno mission is a solar-powered Jupiter orbiter that investigates the planet’s origin and evolution, interior structure, atmosphere, magnetosphere, and auroras. Launched on August 5, 2011, Juno entered Jupiter orbit on July 4, 2016, and continues in an extended mission phase as part of NASA’s New Frontiers Program.
