Lunar Electrostatics and Dust Mitigation (LEDM) Tool

Completed NASA project under the Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program developing a handheld Lunar Electrostatics and Dust Mitigation tool for astronauts. The ground prototype measures electrostatic charge on a surface and tailors a high-voltage waveform to create a compressed-gas plasma pulse that removes dust and neutralizes charge in a lunar environment, addressing a major hazard to long-duration human exploration.
