Lunar Ice Processing (Ice-TP)

Completed NASA Game Changing Development project in which OxEon Energy and the Colorado School of Mines integrated a high-temperature solid-oxide electrolysis stack with a reliable balance-of-plant system to process recovered lunar ice, separate hydrogen and oxygen, and cool the products into LH2/LOX propellants for cislunar transport. The work targets robust thermal and chemical processing of very low-temperature water ice in permanently shadowed lunar regions and advances in-situ resource utilization for mission consumables.
