NASAs Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) mission studied the Martian upper atmosphere, ionosphere, and interactions with the Sun and solar wind from Mars orbit. It launched in 2013, entered orbit in 2014, and ended in 2026 after loss of contact.
