MUSE Program

NASA’s Multi-slit Solar Explorer is a future solar observatory planned for launch in 2027 to investigate the forces heating the Sun’s corona and driving flares and coronal mass ejections. MUSE will capture extreme-ultraviolet imaging spectroscopy at unprecedented resolution and cadence, improving understanding of the solar atmosphere and the Sun–Earth space-weather connection.
