OpSTAR Program

ESA FutureNAV demonstrator mission for optical inter-satellite links that will validate precise time transfer and ranging for positioning, navigation, and timing. The mission aims to reduce dependence on ground infrastructure and space atomic clocks, improve resilience against jamming and spoofing, and mature more autonomous and scalable navigation architectures; implementation follows preparatory studies and is intended to become operational by the end of the decade.
