Planck Program
ESA's Planck mission was Europe's first space observatory dedicated to the cosmic microwave background, measuring its temperature variations with unprecedented sensitivity, angular resolution, and frequency range. Launched on 14 May 2009, Planck completed seven sky surveys and was permanently switched off on 23 October 2013.
