France's SPOT Programme (Satellites Pour l'Observation de la Terre) is a multi-generation Earth-observation umbrella spanning the SPOT satellite series, ground and imaging operations, and applications in mapping, terrain modelling, environmental monitoring, land use, vegetation, and disaster response. CNES conceived and designed the programme; Airbus Defence & Space continued the SPOT-6/7 operational line after CNES closed the original SPOT-1 to SPOT-5 programme.
