The Federal Aviation Administration BEYOND Program addresses remaining challenges in integrating unmanned aircraft systems into the National Airspace System. It advances operations under established rules rather than waivers, develops performance-based standards from operational data, incorporates community feedback and societal and economic benefits, and streamlines approval processes. Phase 1 concluded in 2024, and Phase 2 began in 2025 under the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 and extends the program through 2029.
