Unlocking Space Programme

The UK Space Agency’s Unlocking Space Programme addresses barriers to growth in the UK space industry through coordinated government intervention across four continuing workstreams: Business, Government (civil and defence), Investment, and Innovation. It drives demand for space data and capabilities, public-sector adoption, civil-defence alignment, access to finance, regional growth, and technology and standards support for start-ups and scale-ups. The 2025–26 corporate plan tracks Business and Government delivery, while the programme continues through investment and cross-sector adoption activity.
