Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Initiative

An FAA initiative for safely integrating unmanned aircraft systems into the National Airspace System. The initiative spans remote-pilot and Part 107 operations, public-safety and advanced drone use, airspace authorizations, research and demonstration, and a current network of nine FAA UAS test sites focused on detect-and-avoid, command and control, BVLOS, airworthiness, UAS traffic management, standards, and other emerging operations.
