NASA TechPort describes the Venus Landsailing Rover as a completed NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts project led by NASA Glenn Research Center to study a sail-propelled rover for long-duration Venus surface exploration. The Zephyr concept uses the dense Venus atmosphere and low winds for mobility while relying on high-temperature electronics, low-power photovoltaics, and robust systems to operate in the roughly 450°C, high-pressure, corrosive environment.
