Venus Surface Solar Array

NASA TechPort describes this completed HOTTech project as a solar-array technology for long-lived Venus surface landers, where high temperature, high pressure, corrosion, and low irradiance defeat conventional power systems. JPL’s low-irradiance, high-temperature cells and panel test article were matured through extended 500°C exposure and Venus-environment simulation toward a one-solar-day landed mission capability.
