General Electric J33 family
General Electric J33 is a retired centrifugal-flow turbojet family developed for the Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star and derived from the British Whittle engine; Allison assumed complete development and production responsibility in 1945. J33 variants powered F-80, T-33, F-94, and other USAF/Navy aircraft and even Mace, Matador, and Snark missiles. The J33-A-35 produced 4,600 lb dry or 5,400 lb with water/alcohol injection, and Allison built more than 6,600 of that variant. Exact variants and aircraft installations remain separate identities.
