NASA Morpheus HD5

HD5 was NASA’s higher-thrust, higher-efficiency oxygen/methane engine development for the Morpheus testbed. Stennis ground tests examined thermal behaviour and combustion instability. NASA’s configuration history states that HD5 was never flown on Morpheus because of development thermal issues; the flight programme instead used HD4 derivatives.
