Pipistrel E-811 electric motor
Pipistrel's E-811 electric propulsion engine powers the Velis Electro. The certified E-811-268MVLC combines an axial-flux permanent-magnet synchronous motor with a dedicated H300C power-electronics controller; the two units may be installed separately and are liquid-cooled. EASA distinguishes 57.6 kW maximum takeoff power, limited to 90 seconds, from 49.2 kW maximum continuous power. The aircraft's batteries supply energy but are outside this motor-and-controller engine boundary.
