Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW200 family comprises compact PW206 and PW207 turboshaft engines for light helicopters. A single-stage centrifugal compressor and its driving turbine form the gas generator; a separate single-stage power turbine delivers shaft power through a front reduction gearbox. The reverse-flow combustor and combined reduction/accessory gearbox support a compact, modular layout. Electronic engine control has hydromechanical backup. The family entered service in the 1990s and serves civil roles including emergency medical services, utility work and business transport.
